Over the last two weeks we've had trouble with the read option. We've had trouble running it and stopping it. Is this a product of JJ not being a true DT QB and the injuries to Lawson and Matthews? Or is it a product of play calling? Maybe both.
What I'm wondering is how effective is the read option going to be for us now that every team is running it and their own playbook as well? Can it still be the basis of our offense this year? I feel like it's going to have to be. Don't see Gus changing too much.
