Guitar pickers - good mid-grade acoustic-electric?

Looking to upgrade over an Ibanez acoustic-electric I bought several years ago. It's also a cutaway - not big fan of the cutaway.

Currently, the most expensive guitar I own is Seagull S6 (which, as it stands is a pretty nice basic acoustic guitar).

Need acoustic-electric recs for something in the 500-1000 range.
