I keep seeing all these governors saying they will not assist the federal government with deportations. What's scary is they don't even seem to separating criminals vs. regular folk who are looking for a better life. CA, Mass, NJ, Illinois so far.
Serious question - if a federal law is enacted, or even a directive, how can they outright refuse to enforce/assist? I mean they can sue, sure. So would the Trump admin be forced to have ICE go into cities by themselves? May create some unnecessary tension like what happened with "sanctuary cities". Surely even the most leftist governors wouldn't fight the deportation of criminals, those with terrorist ties, etc.
