Took two private fishing charters and a day of kayaking while down there. Stayed on a 1200 sq foot house boat in the Stock Island Yacht Club. It was actually the owners of the yacht club's boat. They are leveling the boat yard soon and building a luxury hotel in it's place. So we were one of the last to stay at the old Stock Island Yacht Club. Kind of sad they are tearing it down.
We ate at Kaya Island Eats, Hogfish Grill, and Bagatelle. Great food at each. Bagatelle was probably the best but was about $300 for 4 people. Whole Snapper in Tai Chili sauce was probably the winner dish. Had a Caribbean coffee with Disarrono for desert that was incredible. We also went to Dante's but nothing there to report. It's pretty much Hedonism. Just bars next to a pool filled with STD's.
We caught a bunch of Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Red and Black Grouper, and White Grunt. I caught a 7 foot Nurse Shark and fought it to the boat before the line snapped about 5 feet out (40 lbs test). I also caught a good size Tarpon. Probably about 30/40 lbs.
There was a old biker dude at Dante's, rockin a high wasted Speedo and trying to pick up Cuban honey's in there 20's. He was just flaunting that hawg. He said he knew @Docdumpsta from a long time ago.
