I was going through some of my artifacts awhile back and didn't know what material this banner stone was made of. I know most of the rocks but this one had me flummoxed. If it is weakly magnetic, it could be magnetite, but it is strongly magnetic so that only leaves being made from a meteorite. I keep up with a lot of pre-Columbian antiquities and I have never seen one of these made from a meteorite. It it such an anomaly. How the heck did they shape it?
