let alone an SEC championship.

We are doing some things that will bite us in the ass if we don't correct them and improve. Bama went on a 12-0 run last night and almost stole one from us due to a span of about 5 minutes of completely sloppy ball.

We usually have a stretch in a game where we just go completely church-league ball - Selfish, out-of-control, 'me' ball. I have attributed it to the youth of the team and lack of experience playing together and understanding what Bruce wants/expects. When KD took and missed that looooong 3 pointer it led to a Bama 3, then an ultimate 12-0 Bama run. That shot was a 'me' shot. He wanted some of that Wendell Green mojo. It's hard to blame him, but we had our foot on the neck of Bama at that moment... and a very low-percentage shot wasn't what we needed.

It's hard to not compare this team with the Harper/Brown final 4 team.

Harper and Brown were notorious for throwing up bombs, but they were also able to slow the game down and meticulously chip away at a team to keep them down.

A couple of things I hope we can improve on:
1. Replace some of the floundering on offense with some 'go to' set plays. Or at least have the team clear out the middle and give room for some of our guards to penetrate much like Harper would do when he wanted to ice a game.
2. Run more inside-out sets where we run the offense through Kessler and Smith - at least give them a chance inside then kick it out if nothing is there.
3. Be able to slow the game down and not lose the ability to score... (not just an Auburn problem)
4. Reduce the number of selfish low-percentage shots.

Come at me.... but you know what I'm talking about. We might be good enough to win it all, but if we can clean up and improve in some areas we'll greatly improve our chances.
