I know Gus's offense is a "downhill power running game" but I just so not see it. Peyton Barber did what he did despite the play calls. JJ has a great arm but cannot set up and throw under pressure. He should be throwing only high percentage passes and letting our wr's and backs get YAC. Then he might can hit a long one. I sometimes wonder if towards the end of last year and this season if Gus has been figured out and now it is not working. I don't see any motion and if there is, the defenses are ignoring it. They just play disciplined and then they are in position so there is no where to go. Duke always has 3 people around him. Ray has stepped up some and Louis is ok, but we need Duke as a dominate player. Our entire offensive concept does not work without a scrambling rabbit with a decent arm. It simply fails. Straight up pro set football or spread ball is what we are going to have to go back to. Run the ball, stop the run. That has and always will win games. Inverted veers and God knows what else we run seem to work only with a very specific skill set. We might as well run GT's offense with the backs we have.
