*******

Thorne was QB1. He’s having a solid if unspectacular day. He made some precise throws for receptions because the WRs weren’t getting a ton of separation.

Jarquez Hunter was RB1.

Ashford was QB2, but seemed panicky early according to two observers. Made some bad mistakes related to being indecisive.

They’re running tempo on offense — like all the time.

Hunter, Battie, Alston and Cobb all had big runs.

Had one observer say Battie has looked best of the group today, though Alston’s +/- 50-yard TD run has been the standout play of the day so far.

Defense, in general, isn’t playing great. First-team defense was stout and generally good. Second-team defense got more work today and generally wasn’t great. More specifically: A mix-and-match OL is winning a lot against this second-team DL.

JD Rhym had what should have been a Pick Six on Geriner, but he dropped it.

Geriner came back on the next throw and converted a third down.

DJ James broke up what would have been a huge throw from Thorne to Hooks. Good throw, better defensive play.

Thorne had an important throw to Fairweather for a third-down conversion.

Ashford rallies to hit Mardner for a TD, capping a really good drive. Ashford has picked it up.

Had one observer say Throne hasn’t been as good during the second half of the scrimmage. Just OK.

Geriner hit Jyaire Shorter for a TD — some YAC yards on that one.

Thorne gets another conversion by hitting Fairweather.

***WE THOUGHT THEY WERE DONE, BUT THEN THEY STARTED BACK UP***

Ashford was first QB out after the break.

Showed patience on one play, stood in pocket and ended up hitting check-down for a gainer.

Ashford made a poor throw on a slant, but Hooks was able to snatch it and took it a long damn way. Was caught just short of the goal line.

Hunter consummated that drive with a 1-yard TD run.

Alston just scored on a +/- 15-yard run.

They’re now working on red zone.

Keldric Faulk had a big TFL on the goal line.

Looks like Austin Keys sustained a stinger.

Thorne made a perfect throw to Frazier for a TD, but it was dropped.
