But this ClutchPoints bracket was fun (he does an updated bracketology weekly that uses a combo of different analytics sites) has Auburn as the #2 seed in Purdue's midwest region. This is the one I really want -- even though the regional is in Detroit - I believe the 2 seed in Midwest will play their first round games in Charlotte ( although I'm not sure that those first round sites are locked in by region, it might be dynamic and not set until the final bracket).
In this scenario, we'd be opening up vs. an overmatched High Point team, then a second round date with the Villanova/Nebraska winner. Beat them and we'd likely see the only blue blood we haven't yet slayed in the tourney - Duke - in the S16. Win that one , and it's the big kahuna vs Purdue in Detroit for a trip to Phoenix. Imagine a run of beating Villanova, Duke, and Purdue. That might rival or top the 2019 run.
