As I wrote last Wednesday, 2018 DL signee Kayode Oladele — despite Auburn's decision to move on — remained hopeful he'd still be able to qualify. He reached out to me today to let me know the NCAA has finally cleared him as an academic redshirt. That basically means, since he became academically eligible after Aug. 1, Oladele will be able to be on scholarship and participate in practices. But he won't be able to compete in games during his first year.
Despite the news, Auburn will not take Oladele, a source confirmed.
