Good morning, everyone.

Auburn is playing host to several prominent recruits this weekend. I was able to intercept several at the hotel this morning while Sir Bryan Matthews is working the complex.

ITT, we will provide very basic summaries. We will offer much more depth in the official stories we publish going forward.

JELANI THURMAN
Tight end from Langston Hughes (Ga.) HS
**Seemed to enjoy him time here. Jelani is a bit coy, so he can be tough to read. His teammate, Terrance Love, is committed to Auburn and Jelani says Terrance is constantly in his ear about committing to Auburn ASAP. Thurman says Auburn sees him as a flex TE … a guy who splits wide some and plays along the line some. He says he’s fine with that. He will be on an OV at Alabama next followed by Ohio State. I’d say those three (Auburn included) are his top three. Jelani says Auburn is right there. He does not like Georgia at all.

JOSHUA HORTON
Defensive end from Langston Hughes (Ga.) HS
**He really liked this visit. Horton is a straight-shooter; he tells you what’s on his mind. He’s still quiet, though. He’ll answer your question, but he’s not gonna impose his opinions on you out of the blue. I asked him about the best thing from the visit and he said the food. They hit the hibachi joint last night and he was blown away. I mean, I feel like everyone’s had a lot of hibachi in their lives, but Horton really likes it. He said all the food was delicious all weekend. He also loves how real Jimmy Brumbaugh is. Horton said he can see through some other coaches who recruit him. Not Jimmy B … because he’s so authentic. That really resonates with Horton; he values that highly. Sounds like Horton’s top schools are Auburn, UCF, Tennessee. Horton really likes Auburn as a town. He gets a real sense of community here.

JA’KEEM JACKSON
Defensive back from Osceola (Fla.) HS
I didn’t know who he was when I walked up, but he was really cool about that. Jackson has a good sense of humor; he‘s a dude who smiles a lot and has a good disposition. Life is fun, you know? I appreciate that. He’s INSANELY long. I mean, he looks like a daddy longlegs spider with his arms out. He’s also cousins with former Auburn star T’Sharvan Bell. As I was processing this, I realized that Jackson actually favors T Bell. Jackson says T Bell is in his ear constantly pushing Auburn. He shuffled a few visits around to make this trip … bumped Penn State to next week and eliminated a trip to Iowa State. He said more; I’ll update this in a bit.

KELDRIC FAULK
Defensive end/linebacker from Highland Home (Ala.) HS
Quite tall. Long. Needs some upper body development, but he‘s clearly a major athlete. He‘s planning to make a decision near the end of July since he’s planning to graduate in December. He’s already visited Clemson, he’s at Florida next weekend. He plans to return for Big Cat Weekend, which happens to fall right around the time he’s planning to make a decision. Nice timing for the Tigers. Quiet, unassuming personality. Really careful about what he says and never says too much. Younger brother, JJ, is going to be a serious player as well in a few years.

C.J. ALLEN
Linebacker from Lamar County (Ga.) HS
Talkative, friendly young man. Reminds me of TD Moultry at the same age from a physical perspective. Sounds like it’s down to Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia. Decision coming July 9. Still has the UT visit to go. Seems to really like Christian Robinson as a coach and as a person.

**RUEBEN BAIN is an absolute legend. He’s A Guy Auburn Really Needs. That guy has Derrick Brown vibes … leader, smart, good, here for the work. He has a personality that motivates people just by the nature of his being. I also get T-Will vibes. Passion and smarts.
