Unreal effort to beat a team that shot 70% for most of the game. To only be down 4 at the half was a great effort. They had us down 9 early and then Jared caught fired to pull us back even and ensure we would not have a big hole to climb out of after the half. Our battle tested vets did not flinch when again playing a team that was playing out of their minds and giving us everything they possibly could. Gators continued to hit everything after the break so we upped the pressure in the 2nd half and started turning them over. Unreal effort 3 days in a row.

I'll hear nothing about the refs at the end. Should have been on the floor shooting 1 and 1. Had they called that shooting, that would have been ridiculous BS. They killed us all day with BS calls in their favor and no whistles on a J drive or Chuma post ups. The 3 FTs they were gifted at the end of the shot clock when their guy kicked Samir after he shot the ball was the worst call of the tournament. We had tons of momentum there and another turnover could have led to us running them out of the building. Bruce pointed out that was a bad play by our guys not to foul before the guy got across mid court so hopefully that's a mistake we learn from. Glad it did not hurt us in the process.

Jared with his 2nd straight incredible performance. Carried us on O in the first half. At the end, he calmly runs the clock down and then delivers the dagger 3 to put us up 4. Having the best PG in the tournament is a huge advantage. 20 points, 5/7 from 3, 4 steals, and only 1 turnover is a fantastic line. The legend of the greatest PG in Auburn history continues to grow.

Bryce was ice cold in the first half, but stayed engaged on D and played like a senior leader. 3 treys and a couple of 2s in the second half were huge.

Samir with another solid game. 8 points on 2/3 (same as yesterday) from 3 with 4 assists. His 3 solid games are a huge reason we will play to cut the nets tomorrow.

Chuma with 9 points, 7 boards and 3 steals. Much better game than yesterday. He was frustrated by double teams much of the day, but he kept coming and had a huge 3 and post up play late to help us pull off the W.

It doesn't show up in the box score, but Austin gave us a huge spark in the 2nd half. When he came into the game, we caught fire. His bucket and then pretty assist for a 3 on back to back possessions was huge. He looks great and we will need him tomorrow to play more than abbreviated minutes to have our best shot to beat UK or UT.

As a team, this was our best 3 point shooting game of the tourney so far. 13/30 for 43.3%. (yesterday we were 13/34 and 12/34 on Thursday) Any doubts about our ability to shoot away from home on a neutral court should be put to rest now. This has been a very impressive 3 day shooting display that has cemented us as the greatest 3 point shooting team in SEC history, further extending our all time record that we set yesterday. We continued our impressive defensive play with 19 TOs and 14 steals today. (we only gave it away 4 times for an incredible ratio) This team's MO of raining 3s and turning teams over at a nationally best rate will continue to make us incredibly dangerous.

Regardless of outcome tomorrow, take a minute and reflect on what this team has done since February 27th. Going into Athens, we were 18-9 and 7-7 in conference play. We could have easily played our way out of the NCAAT if we had lost 3 of our last 4. Instead, we have won 7 in a row to run our record to 25-9, the third most wins in program history. We are one W short of last year's total and 3 short of the all-time Auburn record from 98-99. This has been an incredible March Madness run from a likely 9 seed to a shot at a 3 seed with a W tomorrow.

Tomorrow, we play for a chance at our 2nd conference tournament title (edit thanks 73, w won it in 1985) and our 2nd SEC title (of either type) in a row after winning the regular season last year. Whether its UK or UT, we will need to shoot the ball well from deep for the 4th day in a row. The X factor, imo, may be Austin. He has looked good the last 2 days and I assume he is ready to give us more than one solid shift at the 5. Mac is also going to be a key tomorrow, he knocked down a couple of 3s today, but he has not been great on D. Tomorrow, he and Horace are going to have to man up and contain either Williams or UK's bigs. We have beaten UT and we were one missed shot away from beating UK this year. We know we are capable of beating either team. 4 games in 4 days will be brutal so we need to hope this UK/UT game is absolute war and the winner comes out of it bruised and battered. One more W to cut the nets.
