For those that are unfamiliar with Missouri Head Football Coach Eli Drinkwitz, Coach Drink as he’s often referred to is a former GA at Auburn under Gus and was an assistant coach and OC under Harsin at Arkansas State and Boise State. On top of being a great offensive mind, Coach Drink is also one of the most outspoken and humorous coaches in the conference, below are some of his comments on working for Coach Harsin and Gus:
"'Hars' is a hell of a guy," Drinkwitz said, "'Bryan' is a dickhead. Whichever one shows up to work, you know what the rest of the day is going to be like.
"If 'Hars' walks in, you're like, 'This is going to be a great day.' When 'Bryan' calls you a mother f'er on third down because you didn't get a conversion, here we go. Put your hard hat on."
Kind of sounds like another coach we once had walking the sidelines here at Auburn.
Now onto his comments on Gus which I find even more humorous:
Coach Drink recalls being Gus‘s errand boy as a GA and in his spot on Malzahn impersonation he recalls Gus’s preferred menu/food order for the week.
- Jimmy Johns: Italian Night Club w/ Peppers
- Five Guys: Burger w/ Jalapeños, Mayo, Lettuce and Tomato
- Chick-Fil-A: Sausage Burrito, No Onions, and two Salsa Packets
- Hardee’s: Loaded Omelet Biscuit for Breakfast
Talk about stress eating Gus, damn brother.
