My pool light is out. its 120v bulb. I'd like to use an LED 12v bulb which is brighter and safer and last longer I'm told.
I'll need a transformer of course. A pool company quoted me $1450 to install their transformer and bulb. That seems outrageous. I want to try to do this myself. Will a landscape lighting transformer work? It transforms 120v down to 12v. Why does a pool light transformer need to be used?
