This kid still has all kinds of potential. It's not uncommon for young players to go through slumps. This is indeed a really long, and bad slump, but most forget that he was primarily a scoring guard who had to get used to playing PG at this level. Overall, I think he did a great job adjusting to playing PG, and he has a really sweet handle.

If he stays, and works hard, he can be a real weapon for us. He needs to work on being fundamentally sound with his jump shot, work on using his athleticism and quickness to finish at the rim, and also work on increasing his athleticism in our S&C program, (though he's quicker and more athletic than most give him credit for). He really, really needs to work on finishing, but most of his issues can be fixed with coaching rather easily if his psyche is solid.

Remember that some of our best guards such as Jared Harper and Bryce Brown had major slumps and adjustment periods where they struggled. I hope folks on twitter and our fan base as a whole give him some love to help rebuild his confidence.
