Meanwhile UGA just landed a 5* RB (their 5th 5* of THIS class), Bama is about to land the #1 RB in this country (5*), and LSU has a 6'1 215lb 4* committed and just might get Cain as well. If you take into consideration our current RB's on roster and our reputation of developing RB's then it really is head scratching as to why we can't get a highly touted RB, comparable to who our main competitors are getting, at least EVERY OTHER year. Idk if it's the coaches recruiting these guys (Dell, we need you), or the facilities being behind others, or no playoff appearances or what. I'm not saying all these 5*'s should march straight into AU, but it is weird that Bama/UGA have multiple 4 and 5*'s on their roster an they just keep convincing them to come. I guess it's worth riding the pine for 2 years and watching your friends sign NFL contracts in order to be in those programs, rather than to potentially play as a Freshman/sophomore at Auburn and go pro in 3 years (all any big time RB recruit would have to do, is beat out Asa and possibly boobie if he ends up being a solid player and they're STARTING). I know we sign some solid backs, but we need to be signing at least equal to as good of players as our main competitors and we just aren't. And don't start the "they pay players", so do we and we need to start paying more if this keeps up. Just barely missing on big time guys is what we do best. The future is scary.
