I posted this just now in the Braves thread, but some of you hate that thread, and this affects more teams than just the Braves.
Diamond Sports, who owns the Bally Sports television network, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy today. This has been expected, and MLB has been hiring their own TV executives to try and come up with plans in case the Bally Sports network is forced to close up shop. They say they have enough funding to keep the networks going while the bankruptcy process pans out. MLB has stated they will step in and will offer to stream regional games for free until a more permanent solution is made if Bally Sports is forced to shut down their network.
In baseball, Bally Sports carries games for The Braves, Angels, Brewers, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Guardians, Marlins, Padres, Rangers, Reds, Royals, Tigers, and Twins.
