Deion Sanders Reveals How Much Other Schools Were Offering Travis Hunter
Story by Hunter Hodies • 1h agoTravis Hunter could've gone to a lot of different schools but instead chose to follow Deion Sanders to Colorado.
Hunter, who was the top recruit in the 2022 class, was offered over $1 million by schools to get him out of the portal, per Sanders.
"People offered Travis Hunter a bag. About $1.5 million to try to lure him and buy him out of the transfer portal. But Travis is not the kind of guy that can be bought. He isn't built like that. Travis is a relational young man that is built on relationships and stability. And that’s what he wanted and desired. That is why he decided to ride and stay with us," Sanders said, via 247Sports.
Hunter originally committed to Sanders when he was at Jackson State, which stunned the football community. He was originally committed to Florida State before flipping on National Signing Day.
He's ready to help turn the Colorado program around even though he could've played for programs that are in better shape for next season.
Loyalty is something that isn't as seen as much these days but it won out in this case.
