Hugh Freeze on Tuesday is scheduled to meet with Houston Texans assistant Chris Kiffin regarding the Tigers' staff vacancy.

This explains the "delay" in Auburn making a hire here; Freeze still is meeting with folks and considering his options. Kiffin wasn't available for an interview until this week because the Texas still were alive in the NFL Playoffs. The Texans lost to the Baltimore Ravens 34-10 on Saturday, thereby ending their season.

We believe this search is down to Kiffin and former Texas A&M defensive coordinator DJ Durkin.
