I know some non crypto bros will also click this just to talk shit...(let me save you some time. Stop reading now. I'm going to type a lot of ridiculous crypto stuff you don't want to waste your time reading)
But for those that are really active...
Tell me the cheapest, easiest way you're currently buying ETH based coins on DEXs.
Over the last few months/year, there have been all these new DEXs or L2 networks that are supposed to be crosschained, aggregators, etc to make things easier and cheaper. But to me it's so much new stuff at once, it's getting hard to keep up and getting convoluted in my simple brain. I used Metamask and Trust wallet to link over (TW actually got hacked somehow) in the past, eating the high fees, but for the last year or so have only been buying BTC, ETH and SOL so haven't needed to use a DEX.
I now have a few small caps I'm looking at, and they're all on UNI according to CMC, except for RLB which is Solana based. I bought it very easily and with almost no fees through Solflare. I've done very well on it, almost 10x, but have already missed out on some good gains on the others bc I know I'm overthinking it plus keep trying to figure the cheapest/easiest way, so paralysis by analysis.
I finally decided to use the Coinbase wallet to keep it simple I thought, and connect it to UNI or through ARB/OP or whatever. I haven't even bought anything yet and am already at a 10-15% loss trying to swap between Coinbase to the wallet to UNI/wETH , had some issues then tried to go to ARB, but was going to be more fees so I just stopped and been trying to do some research, thinking there now has to be a better way.
I know I just typed a lot of mumbo jumbo, but that just proves that there still isn't a straight forward way for the simpletons like me to do this. And I guess that's why the big gains are still on the hard to buy coins.
Also noticed the Coinbase 'BASE' L2 just opened up Wed, which is supposed to make things easier, but adds to the confusion in my mind trying to decide/ decipher what to use for what.
