I would expect Nix to be increasingly involved in the offense moving forward. Based on the comments from D Wade and Alston it sounds like they're going to be running a lot pre-determined stuff this week. If that is the case then it likely means 1. that film study yesterday with Thorne and Hank went extremely poorly and 2. Hugh's RPO game is no longer viewed as a viable option, and that removes like 90% of the playbook in Hugh's offense. So our offense is kind of reduced to either running an extremely limited number of base plays from Hugh's playbook or Nix is going to have to try and retrofit some of Lane's playbook as it features more playcalls that are base runs and passing concepts and a far more deterministic RPO game. I'm not sure which out of trying to do install during week three game prep or running an extremely neutered offense is worse. At the very least it should limit the number of turnovers committed by whoever is in at QB and result in less confusion on the OL when Lew calls a protection.
