Hey guys, we have agreed, disagreed, fought, spit called each other horrific names simply because we have opposing views politically and it sux.

Perhaps we can agree on the following; I am in DC for an oncology conference and below my hotel a group gathered to protest fluoride in the water system. I think Nixon or Carter admin added it at some point. They peacefully assembled, had several speakers and then marched down Pennsylvania AVE toward the Capitol building.

I did not agree with one of their signs, it stated something along the lines of fluoride causes cancer in our children. The American Cancer Society has reviewed over 26 studies evaluating this possibility and did not reach either a temporal or causal correlation. When activists use polarizing terms such as “cancer” incorrectly or deceptively I usually stop paying attention. There may be 100 other good reasons to remove fluoride from the water, that’s not my point. As of this moment I am in the “don’t care” camp, but it is so awesome that we can peacefully assemble, protest, and march on our Capital when we don’t agree with policy or need to make what we feel are improvements to society.

Still the greatest country despite what goobs in Congress we support.
