I wonder how much of this has to do with not going live with the QBin Spring and Fall. Every year Gus seems to try and figure out his QB's strengths during the first few games of the year. I would think you should already know that.
I remember Gus being surprised when Cam broke the long Rubin his first game. Shouldn't we have already known what he was gonna do when protection broke down?
I also think one of our biggest problems this year has been a lack of explosive plays. They benefit the team's morale as a whole. They seem vanilla and sad because they haven't had anything to cheer about.
