** LHP Andrew Mitchell will start Thursday night's opener at LSU. Keegan Thompson will pitch Friday and Casey MIze Saturday. Davis Daniel will be available out of the bullpen on Friday and Saturday. Mitchell is from New Orleans and was at LSU in 2014 so he'll have a lot of family at the games this weekend.
** SS Luke Jarvis was examined by a doctor, there's no underlying issue with his back. It's just muscle spasms, soreness. They didn't take him on the bus to UAB to give it a rest. He will make the trip to Baton Rouge and is day-to-day.
** RF Daniel Robert should be able to play through the soreness in his right elbow this weekend.
