Went to a Celebration of Life today at Barber Motor Sports Park for my former CEO. (the museum there is amazing!) He hired me 13 yrs ago.
Anyway, he was an Auburn fan, one of the 1st Navy Seals when they began in the early 60's and a heck of a businessman. Started from scratch after the Navy and built a nice business with hard work in Birmingham. He told us that during the Bay of Pigs, "we" were in ships about to jump into Cuba to take Castro off the count.
Anyone know Don Bottom? Lived in Hoover. One of his granddaughters just enrolled at AU. He didn't want a funeral. He told the family to creamate me, have a party and throw my ass in the sea.
