Can anyone remember the time when Auburn did not have a terrible 3rd down defense?

It seems like for as long as I can remember, we have consistently been unable to get off the field on 3rd and medium to 3rd and long situations. 3rd down defense and putrid quarterback (save 2 or 3) play has been our Achilles heels for most of my adult life
