** Gray has been working on Sunday the past few weeks, built up pitch count. Also impressed with Bailey Horn. Cody Greenhill will be in the bullpen this weekend, use late in games.

** Opening day is a starting point, players make the lineup as the season goes on.
** Matt Scheffler will start at catcher. Chase Hall one of team's most improved players as backup catcher. Rankin Woley or Conor Davis will start at 1B and the other will DH opening day. Ryan Bliss at 2B, Will Holland SS. Edouard Julien at 3B (Woley can also play 3B). Outfield: LF Judd Ward, CF Kason Howell and RF Steven Williams.
** Williams has worked exclusively in RF during preseason drills and that will continue unless there's an injury to one of the two catchers.
** Scheffler has one of the best work ethics on the team. Always thinking about how he can make the pitcher better. Way above average base runner for a catcher. Good arm too.
** Will go to Greenhill if they need somebody to get last 3 outs of a game. Threw live for the first time last week.
** Brooks Fuller and Will Morrison have shown ability to compete late in a ballgame. Elliott Anderson has stepped up. His role is probably more in longer relief. Can Ryan Watson be a meaningful piece in ballgame? That's a big question to answer.
** Garrett Wade would probably be used in shorter outings to start season. Has great swing and miss stuff. Has a ton of talent, needs to grow and develop over season and earn bigger role.
** Jack Owen will probably start Tuesday. Richard Fitts or Carson Skipper could start on Wednesday.
