A fellow Bunker member, @wmo767 , is currently fighting Leukemia at Northside Hospital. Part of his treatment is to receive platelets and other blood transfusions as he undergoes chemo. He recently called to inform us that they have a shortage of platelets are are asking for those who are able to consider donating. Not only is this effecting him but it is also effecting countless others who are battling this awful disease. I will be making the drive up soon from Auburn but for those who are local it would make a huge difference for those who are fighting and the shortage that is occurring. The place, Atlanta Blood Services, is offering for those who give to be entered into a giveaway for a Braves postseason tickets which is cool.
