My mom's dog passed away about 6 months ago. She's through the grieving stage and mentioned that she'd like another dog soon.
I know it's been lonely for her and I'm happy she's ready to adopt.
I like dogs, but don't own one and I'm worried that if we went to the pound first we might find one that looks adorable, but might not be the best fit for her.
Based on her description, this would be her ideal dog:
* A smaller dog (smaller than a lab)
* One that doesn't shed (like a poodle) - or short hair if she had to get one that sheds.
* Somewhat young - maybe not a puppy, but young enough to not be set in it's ways.
* Potty trained? Don't know if that bleeds into the age of the dog... it's not a deal-breaker
* Cheap. She's not looking for a show dog or a breeder, just a companion.
Any of you Bunks have a dog that might fit the bill that is up for adoption?
Or, maybe a recommendation of a particular breed that she/we should focus on?
**Edit... She will 100% be picking the dog... I'm just trying to help focus the search. **
Thanks for the help...
and your reward....
