Bunker .. First Home loan questions

Looking at buying a home in Baldwin county. This is our first one. What types of loans are out there and what are some lessons learned / experiences that I can draw from? I am meeting with a bank person tomorrow, but I wanted to absorb the Bunker knowledge.
