Since I get most of my actionable life advice from the Bunker, I need some opinions on flooring. Building a house on Mississippi gulf coast on one of the bayous. Home will be built on a chain wall. Already have pier, dock and boat and we will have pool.

Wife and I are going back and forth on flooring options. Interior designer has recommended high end vinyl flooring planks however I’m concerned about putting “vinyl” in a fairly high end house although I like the idea of the clean look, lack of moisture concerns (especially with kids in and out of pool and coming off the boat). I’m considering engineered hardwood as well. We have ruled out hardwood given climate and moisture concerns. Anybody put LVP or engineered hardwood in higher end houses?

TIA…and LAMP (I guess?)
