Hit refresh, will continue to update...

** Excited about team. Tremendous roster adjustments over last three seasons. Six new players this year, 18 over last three years.

** A good, young foundation on this year's team. Auburn Arena has become a good home court advantage.

** Good recruiting classes the last couple of years will start paying off on the court.

** Been playing difficult schedule, more difficult than our program was ready to play. Didn't want to bring rest of league down while rebuilding.

** The speed of game and defensive fundamentals are biggest transition for young players. Somewhat shocking how weak defensive fundamentals are for young players. Challenge teaching players to defend as a team.

** Important to bring guys back to after a year in building a program. Hasn't been able to do enough of that so far.

** Pearl is happy with the addition of Mike Tranghese as SEC hoops consultant.

** Pat Summitt saw things in people that nobody else did. Demanded and got more from her players than anyone could. Most accomplished person in her field and most humble person Pearl new. Always reading, writing, asking questions, trying to stay on cutting edge and getting better.

** When coaches lead, we can win games. When players win, you can win championships. It's got to come from within. Doesn't know who it will be on this year's team. Too young to know right now. Likes work ethic and attitude.

** Summer tours translate to more wins (can do one every four years). Helps build chemistry more than practice. Creates experience student athletes will never forget. Brings teams together.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
