** TCU reminds Bruce a little of Auburn. "I don't know if that's paying them a disservice or not." They've been playing better than us. Two good point guards.

** We've seen and run some of the things that they do like their guards coming off ball screens.

** Important weekend for the SEC. Likes that it's being held this weekend with no NFL games. Kentucky-Kansas in late January is almost like a Final Four game. Mentions Big 12 as No. 1 conference in country.

** Said Danjel Purifoy wasn't moving well on defense. Ankle had something to do with it and "some problems on the backside." Wasn't as mobile, active and confident as he can be. When he's on, he's one of top 2-3 players.

** Mustapha Heron has been the most consistent of his freshmen. Terrific group of freshmen but has a lot of room to get better.

** Scouted Auburn yesterday instead of opponent. Wasn't thrilled with a lot but sees a lot of room for improvement. Disappointed they're not better but encouraged by room for improvement.

** T.J. Dunans has bought in and has a better understanding of the team now than he did early in the season. Wants to win. Being more of a leader.

** Auburn practiced twice Tuesday, about five hours total.

** Tried to hit reset button on defense after Kentucky game for LSU, Alabama and South Carolina. Started over. Defended better until South Carolina. The SC game a combination of guys being rattled by how hard and physical SC plays, didn't execute game plan well. Pearl said it's his responsibility on defensive lapses and not knowing game plan well enough at SC.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
