** Will have 2nd annual AUT LIVE game against Alabama Jan. 21, Pearl's fight to out live cancer program. Pearl started it when one of his Tennessee players, Chris Lofton, was diagnosed with testicular cancer and played his senior season while receiving treatments. Pearl encouraged every one to purchase an AUT LIVE t-shirt, $10 from every shirt sold goes to people that are battling cancer and need help.
** Third true road win of the season at Missouri, first time Auburn has done that since 2008. Good step. Got to beat the bottom teams if you don't want to finish at the bottom. Auburn didn't play well but found a way to win. Finished possessions at the end of the game, which is what you have to do.
** Danjel Purifoy is out of the boot, moving around and progressing faster than they expected, but he won't travel to Kentucky.
** Very impressed with Kentucky. "It is beautiful basketball to watch." The Kentucky team that won the national championship when Pearl was at ESPN reminds him of this year's team. It's the most favorite team he's ever watched.
** Bam Adebayo, who they recruited, is a great player. Some of their players are going to be playing in the NBA for a long time. It's a privilege to watch them play.
** Auburn's program is better but not where he wants it to be at. Important to have a tough non-conference schedule.
