We are set to speak with Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl following the No. 1 Tigers rout of Mississippi State, 88-66.

Follow along and refresh for all updates.

*** You can't be anything but impressed. I thought our crowd was amazing. Students set a record for attendance in the building. Our first-shot defense was elite tonight.

*** Says it would be interesting to see what changes MSU would do if they meet again.

*** Chaney and Cardwell blocking all those shots. They really worked hard at defending without fouling.

*** Denver Jones: This is the second time Denver was locked on Hubbard pretty good.

*** Mentions Miles Kelly and Chaney were +35 in plus/minus

*** On keeping Hubbard and Matthews from scoring a field goal in first half: CBM, Miles, Denver, etc...are elite defenders. They just locked in, bought in. When MSU started making a little bit of a run, it was because we weren't locked in as much defensively.

*** On players stepping up and impression from team: We only turned it over 10 times and they had 7 steals. They turn you over. Our assist to turnover ratio wasn't great. Denver Jones made some 1-on-1 plays. So did CBM. Thinks the top 7 played great.

*** On Chaney bulking up: We look at film from last year, his hair is a little different, but the man is 25 pounds heavier this year. Mentions again that Chaney is his hardest worker.

*** Pearl says he trusts the guys to step up without Johni. Probably going to miss Johni more on the offensive end.

*** On the amount of runs they had in the first half: I think the fact that Chad, Tahaad, Denver and Miles, if they can see it, they are making it. The three-point shooting for those guys is off the charts.

*** Mentions Denver had 3 assists and no turnovers.

*** On Miles: Says he is getting more and more comfortable with his teammates and with the system. He understands what his role is and his importance.

*** On CBM 20 points on 11 shots: He's starting, and he's training locked in at practice. CBM has things you can't teach. There is an it factor in sports and he has it.

That's it for BP
