Bruce Pearl is speaking to the media this afternoon to preview Wednesday night's game at Alabama. Here's a summary...

** Alabama is one of best offensive teams in country. One of best 3-point shooting teams in country. They shoot it well at home. Margins of victory at home are pretty astounding. Weren't able to finish against them last year in both games.

** Should be a great environment. This is probably the best team we've played so far. Alabama is a dynamic offense. It will be all we can do to guard them. Nate Oats has a great offensive mind. Their pace is a strength.

** Alabama's team had a lot to do with us losing a 17-point lead last year. They made some great plays. There were some tough calls, but I give them a lot of credit.

** Mark Sears is a great player. We tried to recruit him. Can do it from 3 or 2. Very hard worker. Standout on and off the court.

** Tennessee is a tough matchup for Alabama, especially on road. In spite of margin, Alabama did a lot of good things. It's a tough time to get Bama right now. We've only had two road games in the league and had an advantage at Vandy. Our team is not road tested but will be after the next couple of weeks.

** Players mentioned that scout team really good after it in yesterday's practice. It was really intense. Kids responded really well acc'd to Pearl, who said it was to prepare for the speed and athleticism of Bama and their ability in transition.

** Pearl wants to see Chaney being more aggressive on defense and rebounding.

** We will have some character revealed against Bama and over the next two weeks.

** Everybody on this team has accepted less for us to achieve more.

** Auburn is staying on the road and won't return until after the MSU game Saturday.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
