** Pearl starts out talking about how impressed he is with the league. Mentions Arkansas has won every game since losing to Arkansas. Georgia beating South Carolina on the road. League is deep, not as top heavy. "The tournament is going to be incredible."

** Mississippi State is playing very good basketball right now. Thought they were a contender in the preseason. Playing good, aggressive defense now. Craig Sword from Montgomery kills Auburn every time they play.

** Auburn is as healthy as they've been in a while. Has an opportunity at MSU. Probably have too many hot and cold players that don't play with the consistently you need to put a run together.

** The run last year came because the team totally bought in defensively, roles were clearly defined and it was about KT at the end of the year. Became a really efficient team.

** This team, the roles are not as clearly defined because of inconsistent players such as Cinmeon Bowers. Part of it is because we've had so many moving pieces, players that have had to play multiple positions.

** No excuses this week. TJ Dunans is healthy, will play and is part of the game plan. Was hurt prior to Texas A&M game and only knew he was playing earlier that day.

** MSU game means more because Auburn could be playing MSU for 11 seed, which would keep them out of the first-day game if Kentucky wins and Tennessee loses.

** Pearl believes the best player on the best team should be Player of the Year in the SEC. He's always leaned toward giving it to a champion. Same goes to Coach of the Year.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
