** We wish Kareem well. He's decided to leave Auburn for personal reasons. He accomplished a lot on the court. The frustration of not winning really took a toll on him and led to his conduct.
** Have to find offense against the best defensive team in the SEC.
** Met with Canty several times over the past week.
** This was Canty's decision. He wasn't forced to leave.
** Team has competed OK last few games.
** Tough for Cinmeon Bowers. Moved him to PF a couple of weeks ago because Pearl thought he was thinking too much and not just playing. Now, playing some point guard, Bowers has to think more. That's a challenge.
** Patrick Keim is limited offensively. New Williams gets the plays right at point guard about half the time right now.
** Bryce Brown is playing 30+ minutes at the two and TJ Lang 30+ at the three and backing up two. Can't afford to move either of those two to point guard.
** Knew there was a possibility Canty wouldn't return for senior season. Expected him to put name in the draft. The rule change gives players a week after combine to make decision on whether or not to pull out of draft.
** Already prepared to play signee Jared Harper next season.
** Real question is if Tahj Shamsid-Deen will be able to return. Probably won't make decision until this spring. If Tahj decides not to return and play, they will definitely take another point guard in this class. Looking at point guard now. Looking at freshmen, JUCO's and graduate transfers. Could be another one or two players added to this class.
** Believes New is slowed a little bit by knee still. He's got the mentality to be a point but doesn't have the skills to right now. Needs to develop both hands, playmaking ability.
** Tyler Harris didn't practice before Tennessee (back). It's a muscle spasm and cramping. He didn't practice Thursday but was better. Expected to practice today and play Saturday. Should be close to 100 percent.
** TJ Dunans is getting closer. Visited the doctor this week. Still needs to build quad strength.
** Losing affects all the prospects. In constant communication with commits and targets and their families. Senses they understand and there's no panic or concerns.
