Met and talked with him today at Wynlakes Country Club. A golf benefit for the Boys and Girls Clubs. I assisted a friend who did the photography for the event. Needless to say, Coach Pearl was very popular. He took pictures with all the golfers and anyone else who wanted their picture taken with him.
He had an assistant named Chad with him....super nice young man. Coach Pearl is a people magnet. Very unassuming and humble. He made himself very "available". Frankly, if you didn't know who he was, you would think he is just an average guy.I was proud to see how he conducted himself and represented Auburn. We already knew this but he is a WINNER.
