In da club.
I was going to do 4 classes, but Harsin's last full class will only have 6 players left from it, and one of those, McPherson, we don't know what his recovery is, and another two more may never be a contributor in Powell Gordon and Eston Harris. Anyway, I thought it would be unfair to hold that class against Hugh.

For clarity, I rounded these to the nearest whole number.

Georga - 1st
bama - 2nd
Texas - 4th
LSU - 7th
Auburn - 10th
OU - 10th
Tennessee - 12th
Florida - 13th
A&M - 14th
Ole Miss - 21st
USCe - 23rd
Missouri - 25th
Kentucky - 25th
Arkansas - 26th
Miss. St. - 27th
Vandy - 53rd

Obviously, we have to hit on our portal pieces, including the most important portal piece, but we only play two teams next year that have a talent advantage over us on paper. Next year, talent will not be an excuse.

For instance, not counting this class, Deboer inherited three straight top 2 classes and lost 3 games, and he had a QB that was on early Heisman watchlists. bama just signed their worst class on paper in 15 years. The last time they had a class outside the top 3 was in 2010, and coincidentally that was the last year they lost more than 2 games. They currently have one commit for 2026, and no momentum on the recruiting trail. Now is the time for us to take advantage.

Freeze could write his tombstone now if he doesn't get a good portal QB, but if he does, he will have no one to blame but himself if we aren't at least an 8 win team next year, and yes, it may be dumb, but I would fire him if he wins less than 8. Then again, it's not my money.
