So city spent a lot of time and money on Hwy 14 coming in to town and the lights and sidewalks and center of road along with landscaping which Look great. Especially at night. About a good two weeks after in place apparently a vehicle got one of the (not on sidewalk but the ones in the turning lane) lights. Today driving into town there are large pylons and cement barriers in front of the lights.
Today I noticed on university Blvd near Opelika across from Indian Pines has a center area planned for the same I suppose. Heck even had to widen road just in the spot.
I get the aesthetics but this just seems like a bad idea especially considering the speed limits in these areas.
Anyone know why the cement barriers are up on Hwy 14? What is next.
