Good morning everyone, this is the second part of of my projected depth chart breakdown to start spring training. This is solely my opinion based off performance from last year and what little I’ve heard regarding off-season workouts. This will only account for the guys currently on campus and not the 9 signees that have yet to report, however I did list there names at the bottom of each position grouping as well as the recommended number of transfer players for that group. So here we go:

Quarterbacks

QB: TJ Finely, Jr. / Zach Calzada, Jr. / D. Davis, RFr. / Robby Ashford, Soph / Holden Geriner, Fr.

*** This rooms is full and I don’t expect any further additions.

Offensive Line

LT: Kilian Zierer, Sr. / Colby Smith, RFr. / Brady Ward, Soph.

LG: Brandon Council, Sr. / Alec Jackson, Sr. / Tate Johnson, Soph. / Garner Langlo, RFr.

C: Nick Brahms, Sr. / Jahlil Irvin, Sr. / Avery Jernigan, Soph. / Cort Bradley, RFr.

RG: Keiondre Jones, Jr. / Kameron Stutts, Sr. / Jeremiah Wright, Soph.

RT: Austin Troxell, Sr. / Brenden Coffey, Sr. / Eston Harris, Fr.

*** Recommended number of transfers additions (1-2 underclassman OT)

Tight End

TE: John Samuel-Shenker, Sr. / Luke Deal, Jr. / Tyler Fromm, Jr. / Brandon Frazier, Soph. / Micah Riley-Ducker

*** Recommended number of transfer additions (0)

Running Back

RB: Tank Bigsby, Jr. / Jarquez Hunter, Soph. / Sean Jackson, RFr. / Jordon Ingram, Soph.

*** (Damari Alston - May/June Enrolle) recommended number of transfer additions (1)

Wide Receiver

X/Split End: Shedrick Jackson, Sr. / Malcolm Johnson Jr., Soph / J.J. Evans, Soph.

Z/Flanker: Landon King, Soph. / Zevian Capers, Jr.

H/Slot: Tar’Varish Dawson, RFr. / Jay Fair

(Omari Kelly, Camden Brown - May/June Enrolle) recommended number of transfer additions (2)

After looking at our numbers at each position, there’s no question that WR attrition in the portal post the early signing period has definitely turned that group into the one position that needs the most help from the portal. OL is the other position that requires some attention, on pure numbers alone we’re going to be fine, but the lack of underclassman Tackles is what jumps out at you on paper. If we can add an impact guy at RB to pair with Tank and Jarquez you do it and don’t think twice, but it’s not as dire in my opinion as the other 2 position groups (though I question if Jordon Ingram is an SEC caliber RB, and I actually think he’s an SEC level athlete that projects better at LB). What are your thoughts Bunk?
