Been a member for a long time and don't post much but reading this board is killing me. Most of you guys have no perspective. I am 47 years old and after a lifetime of near misses I have attended TWO National Championship games. The one constant in those game was GUS MALZAHN.
Most pundits would have rated our coaching staff as one of the best in football at the start of the season. We have a major issue at QB, lots of injuries and we are playing more young players on defense than I can remember. This won't be a Championship year but our best hope of getting back to that level is this staff. It won't take much but it will require just a little patience.
Our next great QB may be in JUCO, high school, or perhaps even our current sideline but the best hope of figuring it out is this staff. The defense will get better as the young guys mature and we still have a lot to play for this year. I am not naive or a sunshine pumper and I have cussed the coaching myself but I believe in this staff because they are proven and did not suddenly become idiots. JJ has some skills in the running game we need to exploit more and if not him perhaps Sean will step up but we will be fine. Gus will learn from this and AU will be back before long. RELAX.
