AU/Bama no longer hosting high school FB championships.

Both Auburn and Alabama have dropped out of hosting the AHSAA football championship games. This is due to the expanded CFB playoffs and the possibility that either school would be hosting a playoff game the same week as the HS championship games. The games will be played in Birmingham this year.

Tuscaloosa and Auburn drop out of Super 7 AHSAA football championship rotation

AHSAA Super 7 state football championships will no longer be held in Tuscaloosa or Auburn due to the expansion of the College Football Playoff.
