Atlantians. What's your advice on managing the traffic leaving the game?

@Will Collier and others have said to avoid the 'connector' and also main roads like Ivan Allen. Looking at the map, would it be best to head west on Joseph Boone and work over to 20 and 285 (I'm headed to Montgomery btw) or are there even better more obscure ways to leave. TIA
