Apart from having some sort of connection, I realize there are some reasons to pull against them. They are instate so somewhat of a threat. However, living in Birmingham and seeing how much the real UAB fans loathe UAt after all that went down makes me kind of like them. I for one hope they are successful. Maybe when Bruce has us rolling we can start a real instate rivalry and leave the turds out.
