Are Toyota Tundras underpowered?

In the past it seems Toyota owners were pleased overall with the Tundra but the one downside I always heard was that they are underpowered. Did their twin turbo V6 improve the power output? How does the tundra compare with equivalent Ford or Dodge products? Thanks Bunker.
