Between drive times, flight times, and time changes they have a minimum of 9 hours of travel time, probably closer to 11-12 hours when you factor in how long it takes to load and unload an entire football team and all their gear on and off busses and planes.
With that in mind, they’re losing a full day to travel. I don’t imagine they’d want to do that the Friday before the game but maybe they will have to. The alternative is they come in on Thursday and leave Friday for walk through but in that case they’re losing a day of practice this week.
