New dog I got has parvo. 1 year old female Pitbull. Disappointed the owner did not treat her for anything but that's in the rear view. I noticed the symptoms Saturday and I checked her in this morning. She was still alert but was very dehydrated from throwing up. They say her chances are decent and I understand they are being cautious, but is there a vet in here that could give me some wisdom? Is there an age where dogs have less chance of survival? Did I get her in to see the vet in time?
Culling her was not an option. She's a damn good dog. Very protective over my daughter and wife. I'm not giving up on someone who aint giving up on me.
