To play LB, CJ, and CM significant minutes.

These are minutes taken away from our best players, our best rebounders, and our best scorers.

Playing our worst players against our opponents best players is suicidal.

We wouldn’t play our football scout team against UGA or bama and expect to win.

Even if CBM or JW are having a bad game their chances of getting hot for a few minutes gives us a much better chance of winning than not.

The game(s) was closer than 6 points as we had to foul late to try for a miracle.

The 3-6 extra points a starter could have gotten would have changed the entire game around.

The better players do lots of little things that change the game in our favor whereas our worst players basically do the opposite too often.

If this isn’t true then there would be no reasons for starters to start or play more minutes.

According to EvanMiya.com computer player ratings of the top cbb players (Off. + Def.) :

16. JB
30 CBM
38 JWill
53 DC. (I found this one surprising)
83 AH
106 TD
299 KD. (a little surprised by this one also)
431 DJ
526 CJ
1026. CM
1200+ LB
